At LA CASA, we’re more than just a nonprofit – we’re a caring community committed to supporting children through some of the most challenging moments in their lives. Since 1980, when we began as an auxiliary to the Allen Sitton Home, our mission has been to provide care, compassion, and comfort to children in need. Over the decades, our focus shifted to supporting the Orangewood Children’s Home, now the Orangewood Children and Family Center, but our unwavering dedication to helping vulnerable children remains at the heart of what we do.
We don’t just support these kids; we empower them. Through our fundraising efforts, we make it possible for children to experience the joy of field trips, participate in fun activities, and enjoy opportunities that every child deserves. We encourage the kids to dream big and take an active role in their happiness by coming up with their own ideas and pitching them in hopes of getting an approved bill. This process not only brings their ideas to life but also helps build their confidence and creativity.
At LA CASA, we’re about more than care – we’re about connection, hope, and creating lasting memories. Because every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and loved, we’re here to make a difference – one field trip, one idea, and one child at a time.
To empower children facing challenging times by providing access to enriching activities that foster joy, growth, and resilience, helping them embrace the full wonders of childhood.
A world where every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to grow, thrive, and experience the joys of being a kid.
Orangewood Children and Family Center is a safe haven for kids, from newborns to teens, who need care and support after facing abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
