La Casa Holiday Wish Program

Every child looks forward to the joy and magic of the holiday season. But without help of the community, 100s of children who have experienced abuse, neglect or other difficult home conditions will have no one to provide their holiday gifts. These youth are under the care of Children Services; and they may be living in their own homes, with relatives, in foster homes, or in residential care.

You can make a difference for these children in our community by supporting our Holiday Wish Program. Each year, individuals, community groups, organizations, church groups and businesses all give generously to help these children know that someone cares about them.

The La Casa Holiday Wish Program allows youth under the care of Orangewood Children and Family Center (OCFC) to request a special toy or gift. Each year, the Orange County community provides gifts for hundreds of children who may have experienced abuse, neglect or other difficult home conditions. In some cases, these are the only gifts that these children will receive all year. You can help make the holidays special.

This year, our nation and our state have faced new challenges that none of us have seen in our lifetimes. And this will make the upcoming holidays particularly challenging for those who may need the magic of the season the most. In response to this, Holiday Wish has changed its model to help ensure the safety of our staff, community members and families.

Orangewood’s children have been able to depend on our community since 1985 to grant thousands of wishes — and this year will be no different. For more information about Holiday Wish, contact La Casa today! Without your generous contributions, La Casa would not be able to fulfill it’s dream of helping the children at Orangewood. Won’t you help us care for those who need it most?
